Our most recent project is a hand painted mural illustration of a map of Baggy Point with placed images of the flora and fauna you might see along it. Images include, spring and autumn squill, bird’s foot trefoil, harvest mice, stone chat, hebridean sheep, peregrine falcon and linnet.
Applied directly onto the walls of their new toilet block by Sandleigh tea rooms and National Trust North Devon Office, it is the first level of interpretation before setting off on the footpaths around the headland.
The footpaths around the Baggy Point promontory make for a pleasant walk; with very little effort you can experience the rugged feel of the area. Crashing waves and steep cliffs help to create this dramatic scenery – National Trust.
